According to industry officials on August 18th, Jisoo has been cast as the female lead for Snowdrop, a new drama that is currently in talks to be broadcasted by JTBC. YG Entertainment later confirmed that Jisoo was cast in this drama. Snowdrop has been written and directed by Yoo Hyun Mi and Jo Hyun Tak, respectively. The two previously worked together on the hit JTBC drama SKY Castle. Snowdrop will be JisooŌĆÖs first time starring as a lead character. Before she debuted, Jisoo had a cameo role in the 2015 KBS 2TV drama The Producers. Last year, she made a special appearance as SayaŌĆÖs (Song Joong Ki) former first love on tvNŌĆÖs Arthdal Chronicles. In addition to her Snowdrop casting, Jisoo will release her first full-length album as BLACKPINK on October 2nd. Source (1, 2)
