On October 6th, singer Kwon Do-woon became the first artist in the trot industry to come out as gay. He decided to come out as a way to celebrate his 10th anniversary since his debut. His induction into the Solidarity for LGBT Human Rights of Korea as a new member is his first official schedule since that day. According to MIDUM Entertainment, Kwon Do-woon joined the organization through his strong will for National Coming Out Day. The Solidarity for LGBT Human Rights of Korea gave an official statement: ŌĆ£We welcome Kwon Do-woonŌĆÖs decision to come out.ŌĆØ Regarding this event, Kwon Do-woon revealed, ŌĆ£This will be my first step in working towards improving the human rights of the LGBTQ+ community.ŌĆØ Kwon Do-woonŌĆÖs 18th album ŌĆśThe Two Of UsŌĆÖ (literal translation) will be released on October 30th.
