Veteran actor Song Jae Ho, best known for playing the father roles in numerous films and dramas, passed away from a chronic disease on Saturday. He was 82. Since the news of his death was released, many netizens have left messages of condolences. Born in Pyongyang before the division of Korea in 1937, Song debuted in 1959 as a voice actor. Song Jae Ho, who began his career as an actor in 1964 with the film Student Pub (literal title) and rose to stardom when he starred in YeongjaŌĆÖs Heydays (1964) and Three Times each for Short and Long Ways (1981). In addition, the late Song Jae Ho performed impressive performances in a number of projects, including dramas Tears of the Dragon, Empress Myeongseong, Sangdo, Merchants of Joseon, Sign and films Memories of Murder, directed by Bong Joon Ho, and May 18.
